Data transmission via the Internet
The Internet is a public network accessible to anyone and therefore to be regarded as a fundamentally unsafe environment. Although individual data packages are in principle transmitted in encrypted form, this does not apply to the sender and recipient. It is furthermore possible that data may be transferred abroad and therefore to a country with less robust data protection standards than Switzerland, even if sender and recipient are located in Switzerland. Chocolat Frey does not accept any liability for the security of data during transmission via the Internet.
Newsletters are sent to customers only at their express request. Newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Please refer to the newsletters for information on how to unsubscribe.
Collection and use of information
Various access data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, name of file accessed, etc.) are stored when the portal is accessed.
Personal information is not analysed. Data is anonymously analysed for statistical purposes, e.g. to establish how many times the portal is accessed in a day.
This data is treated in the strictest confidence and not passed outside the Migros Group or made accessible to other third parties unless required by applicable law and, specifically, the competent criminal prosecution authorities.
Any data processing by in-house departments and services by third-party providers, e.g. cookies or social plugins (c.f. following section) is expressly reserved.
In-house services and services by third-party providers, especially Google Analytics and Facebook “Likes”
This website uses Migros community services and services from third-party providers (hereafter jointly referred to as “Services”), especially Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., and “Like” social plugins from Facebook Inc. (hereafter “Provider(s)”). Such Services collate information and may use what are known as “cookies”, i.e. files (e.g. HTML or flash cookies) which are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed.
The information generated about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to our servers or third-party servers in Switzerland and abroad, stored and processed there and, depending on the circumstances, may be allocated to you in person. The Migros community and Providers can use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile website activity reports for the Migros community and to provide other services associated with website and Internet use. As the case arises this information may also be transmitted to other third parties in Switzerland and abroad. In any case there is no appropriate statutory data protection abroad.
Depending on the browser and software you have installed, such data processing (the installation of cookies in particular) can be restricted or prevented to a limited extent only. Visit your browser software’s website or possibly the manufacturer’s website (Adobe Systems’ website for information about Flash cookies, for example) for information about managing the corresponding data protection and storage settings.
In using this website you are agreeing to the data collected about you being processed in the above manner and for the above purpose.
Safe storage of personal data (e.g. in connection with newsletter subscriptions) is ensured.
